Did you know your newborn’s face can change within days of being born? Even their eye or hair colour might shift in those first few months. The first year is full of changes, and without photos it’s easy to forget all the tiny quirks that came and went so quickly. People aren’t kidding when they say they grow up fast.
After your Newborn Session with Ladybird, Milestone Sessions are a wonderful way to keep documenting that growth. These sessions were originally created for the first year, but over time we’ve had more and more families asking to book milestone photos for their older children too. We’ve welcomed them into the studio and genuinely love capturing these stages at every age.
Classic moments for little ones might include that three month stage when they can lift their head, the six month sitter phase, the first tooth, the big first birthday, or even early toddler expressions you never want to forget. As kids grow older, there are just as many sweet milestones worth capturing, like the first day of school, losing that very first tooth, or celebrating a new hobby or interest that suddenly becomes their whole world. These photos become the little reminders you’ll be grateful to look back on long after each stage has passed.
